Need creative ideas!! IntelliWare is raising money for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition in June through completing a challenge (similar to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge). In the past we have done pies to the face, water balloons, and silly string. Looking for a good idea for this year that is easy, fun, cheap, and safe. Bring them on!

IntelliWare through our IntelliReach program co-sponsored the Fly By Nature Foundation’s 2019 Tech Flash Summit. The Tech Flash Summit introduced D.C. area kids ranging from ages 8 – 17 to the world of S.T.E.M. Participants were able to engage the specially assembled S.T.E.M. panel which was comprised of IT and engineering professionals from the Washington D.C. area. The kids asked the panel lots of great questions and learned about the many possibilities and careers that can blossom from the world of S.T.E.M. They also participated in a number of activity stations where they got to experience S.T.E.M. in various hands on activities. The Fly By Nature Foundation’s goal is to make this an annual event free for local area youth. Recognizing that kids are the future, the Fly By Nature Foundation hopes to expose them to S.T.E.M. topics and technologies they may not be aware of and possibly spark an interest to careers in these industries. On Feb 11, 2019, a team of IntelliWare employees and spouses took on the Two Top 100K Vertical Challenge hosted by Whitetail Resort in Mercersburg, PA. The Challenge is to ski/snowboard 100K vertical feet as a team (this is 107 runs in total). The goal, by participating in the challenge, is to bring attention, awareness, and funding to the Two Top Mountain Adaptive Sports Foundation and its mission to provide adaptive cycling, ski, snowboard, and water ski lessons to disabled individuals, including wounded veterans from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Fort Belvoir, and surrounding VA Medical Centers. All lessons provided to disabled veterans and their families are FREE. The Intelli-Sliders team had a goal to raise $3,500 as a team and with contributions from employees, friends and family, were able to raise $5,205! IntelliWare was proud to be a Gold Sponsor for the event and with the money raised by the Intelli-Sliders, IntelliWare was responsible for 16% of the $48,727.71 overall contribution raised by the event. We can't wait to participate again next year and raise even more money!
