Intelli-Sliders Take On Two Top 100K Vertical Challenge
February 22, 2019

On Feb 11, 2019, a team of IntelliWare employees and spouses took on the Two Top 100K Vertical Challenge hosted by Whitetail Resort in Mercersburg, PA.  The Challenge is to ski/snowboard 100K vertical feet as a team (this is 107 runs in total).  The goal, by participating in the challenge, is to bring attention, awareness, and funding to the Two Top Mountain Adaptive Sports Foundation and its mission to provide adaptive cycling, ski, snowboard, and water ski lessons to disabled individuals, including wounded veterans from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Fort Belvoir, and surrounding VA Medical Centers. All lessons provided to disabled veterans and their families are FREE.

The day had a late start due to fresh falling snow and the resulting snow delays in the DC metro area.  The team was steady throughout the day in completing the runs, and as the time limit approached, the team dug deep to increase the frequency and speed of their runs.  Despite the late start and fatigue, the Intelli-Sliders accomplished their goal of matching the 100K challenge, all 107 runs down mountain!

The Intelli-Sliders had a goal to raise $3,500 as a team and with contributions from employees, friends and family, were able to raise $5,205! IntelliWare was proud to be a Gold Sponsor for the event and with the money raised by the Intelli-Sliders, IntelliWare was responsible for 16% of the $48,727.71 overall contribution raised by the event.  We can't wait to participate again next year and raise even more money!
